MinnKota Trolling motor repair

GCLARK

Question

Just got back from Mtka. Ist time out and I discovered my trolling motor doesn't work. The foot control turned the motor at 1st , the prop didn't spin and it made a clicking noise inside the base. Then it went completely dead- no noise or turning.I checked the battery when I got home and it's at 80%. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm at a loss. Should I take it in somewhere or isn't it worth it??

I strongly recommend taking your trolling motor to the Motor Clinic in Bloomington. They will treat you right and you won't be dissappointed.

Thanks Murdock, that's the second time today I've heard that same recommendation. I think I will definitely take it there.

They are located on Old Shakopee Road in Bloomington. Here is their web site: MOTORCLINIC.COM Ask for Mark or Terry.

Took my Minkota trolling motor into the Motor Clinic today and like has been said already, I was really impressed with the service and quick diagnosis of the problem. I just stood there and watched and in a few minutes I was out of there with my new part( which turned out to be the foot pedal). I will certainly recommend them!
