Going up on Thurs. S.E. Side. How's the bite going? Standard rock reefs? Anything going on in Cove bay? Thanks.

I have been fishing them just about every day. any where from 2-6 feet of water. Mostly on tube jigs bouncing them along the bottom. They are still on their beds so the rock reefs should still hold the fish. got a 19.5 inch smallie two day ago about 4-4.5 lbs. great fight.

Fished Thurs., all day. Not bad. Two of us got about 15. Biggest was 19". Nice fish. We fished from Hawkbill to Izaty's. Not surprisingly, tubes were the ticket. We each lost nice fish. I broke one off that I saw that maybe went 21". Words were spoken that can't be repeated. It was the first time catchin' smallies for the guy I was with. Fun to see them pullin' him around. Now he's hooked.

Fished on fri. with a friend in about 2-3 foot of rocks. I landed 4, 2 19.5 inchers, 18",16" and he got skunked. We were spot fishing and all the bass came on leeches. Wouldnt touch anything but live bait. Tryed all kinds of plastics but no luck. Lots of fun even though only 4 were caught. My buddy says he will stick with largemouths. Poor guy doesnt know what he is missing.

May head up this weekend, but for sure next Friday. Any suggestions? May launch on the SW side and take off from there. We will try the rock areas on that side, the Pt., Andresons and Spirit.
