Went to German this afternoon. I walked out. Am I glad I did so. Many houses/vehicles by island and west. Don't like crowds so headed east. Popped some holes on the church bar- 6-7 inches of ice!!!! noticed a 2 inch open water crack about 100 feet south of me.

Why does everyone think things are fine and start driving when one nutcase takes a chance and survives? I betting someone pops through by the weekend! Then the sherrif will prohibit driving on it like years past.
