Heading up to the Pond (along with half the state) on Friday. As of right now...Where have the best walleye reports been? Without getting specific of coerce, just curious if they seem to be focussed on the sand, mud, rocks or all of the above. I would assume the north, north east would hold the most fish right now, but I haven't been up there yet to explore.

I would work the sand during the day and concentrate on your favorite shallow rock pile at night. We did well last week in the 14-20 foot area's in the sand during the day and then bobber fished in the low light times in 10 feet and under by Big Point. Good Luck.

From what I have heard the bite has slowed a bit since last week. I have a buddy who just came back last night and he said the fish are still willing it just takes a little more work. He also mentioned sand during the lite hours and 8-16ft rock bite at night. He did go deep on mud and pulled cranks with boards and a few bigger fish took him up on it. I will be heading up later today thru Monday. Good luck everyone!!! Keep the traffic moving.
