shallow water

I was wondering if anyone could help me out a little. How shallow do you guys fish for the evening bite. Last year I went into 19 feet and we had a good number of eyes over 20". I was thinking of trying real shallow this upcoming week. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Week ago Friday I set up in 10fow near Morris. This was my best trip so far out of 5 evenings on the ice over the past week and a half. I caught 2 fish in the mid 20's as well as 20 or so other smaller fish in less than 2 hrs of fishing. Guy about 40 yds from me C&R'd a fat 30 incher too!

Fish shallow in the mornings and evenings and move out deeper during the day for saugers.Have fished as shallow as 5-6 FOW but you have to be extremly quiet that shallow.

I usually like 12-16'. Maybe toss a tip up in shallower if I feel the need.
