Chubby Darters

Recommended Posts

Picked up some of these awhile back, and i was just going to check and see if anyone would like to tell me how they work, i heard that they basically fly all over, produce more action than jigging raps...and so on. But what gets me is do you just put a minnow head on the back treble, or tail, or the whole thing or what. Thanks guys

I use one minnow head on the treble on the bottom of the lure. If you put one on the back hook it throws the balance of the jig off. They work great though I had awesome luck with them this past weekend. Get youself a gold/orange and you'll be ready to go.

I have had good luck with these baits during low light conditions. they have a larger profile so naturally they are easier to see i think. sometimes i dont even tip it with anything and have had good luck that way.

Remember when using a Darter that has far as you vertically jig it, it will dart that far horizontally. It is a great attractant for low light lakes, such as LOW. Also, they came out with a new color this year, a glow orange. It should work great up there!!
