The last time I fished Fish Lake was during an ice fishing contest about 5 years ago. I had first and third place for most of the day with two eyes, one was 8 oz and the other was 6 oz. I got beat out at the end of the day though. Who is bringing the Texas Hold'm table?

Salmon Oasis Surface Tensons direction might be shorter. He knows the area good. when you cross the river for the second time you are real close to fish lake dam road take a slight right or almost streight at the curve follow to to hi banks. Good luck Nels

Nels your directions are fine if your coming from Midway road. Wish I could be there, I'm going to be away at a meeting. At least I got to meet some new guys last weekend and see some familar faces too. Hopefully we can do it again before the South African frip. Nels we'll have to hook up on Grand.

You know I can out fish you any day when it comes to these inland fish. I will admit when it comes to the big lake I got nothing but this is where I school you. ST you have definitely picked a good one to back....if I get out I will not let you down sir. Now someone better find a way to get me there. I have a way home just got to get there now. Porter, Barry, DD any of you got room to take out another guy? Kent has my number. If there is anyway I can get out there I want to bad. If not I guess you will have to put your money on another ST, but I will do my best I promise you that. Good luck to all who get out.

SalmonOasis,

I'll be leaving from just north of Esko (the intersection of Canosia and North roads, at the town hall) on the Canosia Rd at 6:15 tomorrow morning. If you want to follow me your more than welcome to. I'll be in a green pickup and pulling a sled trailer. Otherwise follow ST's directions and you'll be fine, its about a 1/2 hour drive to Fish from there. See ya tomorrow.

Northlander,

My dad is an avid ice fisherman but is not computer savy enough to be a part of the forum but I know he would like to meet all you guys. Can he still go and be a part of the day?

Wobbler,

On behalf of NL, your dad is more than welcome. Alot of guys will be at HighBanks resort at 7am for bait and access, and heading out, others coming out at various times during the morning. Sounds like its gonna be a pretty good turnout, a bit windy but temps sound decent during the day. Should be a grill or 2 on hand also for lunch cool.gif

Granny,

I never went but am going Monday out at Zipple. They would not let wheelers out on Wednesday or Thursday when I called. With the cold temps this weekend I will be out there Monday. I will give you the status report on Tuesday!

Xplorer,

I will let my dad know. I am sure he will show up. His name is Mike and he will have a Honda Recon with a Polar double sided fish house. He sounded pumped up yesterday when I told him about what was going on!

Somebody please bring a tapper grin.gif Believe we have door prizes and best of all we might catch some fish while doing this tongue.gif

i hate to sound like a mootch, but it looks like the wind will be pretty rough on sat, and i was wondering if anyone had an open spot in their shack. Porter, I may force you to fish 3 again in your voyager. grin.gif Anyways, I can't wait for tommorrow went and got charcoal and fluid and boiled up a dozen brats. see you guys out there!

Quick, depending on wheter or not some people come with me from work, which I am doubting since they are fair weather people, I will be solo in my shack and you are more than welcome to join. I promise not to drop any Brats down the whole. grin.gif

thanks a lot cheffrey i would really appreciatte it, I haven't pulled the one man love shack down from the attic yet nor do i have it registered, (silly minnesota rules), and if worse comes to worse i can always just sit in porters shack on somebody's lap. lol grin.gif

That lap talk is no joking matter... I should have plenty of room, i'm not sure when berry's coming out, but worst case it'll be three people. Thanks for leaving my door open yesterday kent, my battery's still dead. It was wide open on the street all day. Maybe i should make you sit out in the cold blush.gif

Wobbler as others have already said you can bring your dad and anyone else you like. This is a fun little event. Nothing will be serious including the fishing. Because we look to be having so many people coming we will go out of the Narrows and down the left shoreline about 1/4 - 1/2 mile. Dont want to upset those who may be there to catch fish and not socialize like we will end up doing Im sure. Anyone who needs transportation in or out just call me or anyone else with a 2 way radio on channel 7, no sub channels, and we will get ya to where ya need to be. See ya all tomorrow.

Oh I almost forgot. Everyone make sure to bring a bussiness card or paper of the same size and put your name on it and get it to me on the ice by 11:45AM. At noon I will be giving away some nice small prizes that you can use right away that day. At least 90% of them.

Thanks to---
