we were on fish, but i wasn't able to get out until real late and everyone was gone already or packing up. i will be able to make the fish lake gathering and am looking forward to it. they were biting a little better today but still pretty slow for this guy.

What do you want to do for a shack and everything? Cameron's got my heater right now, but I could get it back if i need to. I've got a shack too, but it'll take a lot of cleaning to get it in the back of my truck. Let me know what you're thinking. I'll see if Berry wants to go too.

Porter I got the vex fixed up today and bought a new hand auger. Ready to roll. I will let you know how the babysitter comes along but if you are up for some afternoon fishing let me know as well.

i haven't registered my fish trap yet and don't have it up here for that matter. i was just planning on cutting a few holes and moving around outside, unless you brought a shack. if the weather is anything like the last few days we'll be fine. I am tied up from 2 until 4 but i could also sneak out tommorrow after 4 if anyone wants to go then. maybe berry can lose another big walleye tommorrow!

I would say that you don't need to be looking at what barry lost....at least he actually hooked one. I think you need all the time on the ice you can get, and you have a little catching up to do. If you get out tomorrow I hope that you do well. So good luck and have some fun.

Is anyone going to be out off Hi Banks on Saturday? I wanna fish, but not be out alone. I'll pull the 4-wheeler out from the public ramp, and drive the shoreline down a ways.

Hows the crappie/walleye fishing been there? I noticed yesterday 3 guys fishing a ways out, and 1 snowmobile/portable sitting out a ways from shore by Hi Banks...any chance that was anyone here? Looks like the snowmobile launched at the public access past banks.

papa woodie, i NEED to fish on saturday!!!!!!!i havent been out yet this, uh, winter.? i work late on friday night(bartender) so not sure how early i'll be getting up,(8'ish probably). im supposed to fish with nunnu on saturday, but havent heard from him recently(nunnu, you out there???) what time you gonna be out there? im new to duluth so i dont really know where any of these places are, (any help anyone?). any other late risers out there that want to hit it on saturday till dark?

I'm rather new to the area, and not full on all the lakes yet either. Honestly, i also bartend friday night in Superior, so, i hope to be up and on the lake around 10 or so. I don't have a shelter or anything, but i moved from ND, so my skin is like whale blubber! I'll put on the coveralls etc and it'll be ok. If ya think you are going to be out around that time, let me know! As always, working till 3-330 am Friday night really bites....but you can't let anything get in the way of the fishing!

papa woodie,i talked to a friend, who works the graveyard shift, and we decided to hit the lake around noon. i'll have the black "sno-boat" fish house, if i think i will even need it, not sure yet what the weather will be like on Saturday. I can only can fish till about 4, then i have to come in have to go with the girl to her works christmas party. workin on friday nights does bite, i also get to work sunday day shift, which bites even more. dont know what a weekend is anymore. i work at the Buena Vista. how 'bout you, where do you work? i go to school in Superior. so if your going to be out fishin around 10, what should i look for to see where your at? i'll be on foot pullin my fish house. would like to bring the dog with, but i get the idea that would be fround upon by a lot of people but i still might and i'll just be away from the crowd. so if ya see a black fish house, a black lab(if he comes,i really hate the idea of making him sit at home while im out having fun), it will more than likely be me. hope to see ya saturday.

I will be out Thurs and Friday about 3:30 and all day sat and sun. Fish for sure on Sat AM and Amnicon in the afternoon. Sunday I may be on Red lake but need a 4 wheeler.

My work (50below Sales & Marketing) has their Christmas party This friday as well, Noon might be a better option for me as we ussually party pretty late. I'm hoping to sneak out though.

I bartend at Club O2 in Superior (old CC Tap). I am usually at the Bueno on Monday nights, if you work that night, you would recognise me. I drive a bright red 2004 F150 extended cab pickup, and on Saturday, i will be on a 05 Polaris Sportsman 500 (green). I'll look for ya, if ya see me out, don't be a stranger.

I'm hoping to hit the Xmas party before the bar job, then go to the bar (hopefully not to tipsy) and get up at a half butt decent time. I'll park at the main ramp (if you know where thats at...keep going past Hi Banks and you will run into the sign for it).

Northlander - Are you going to be on Fish Lake Saturday Morning/Day? If so...any recommendations on where to be? I have only fished the lake once before, and hope to learn somthing promising about the lake.

Any and all is greatly appreciated. I see people all the time in a bay about 300 yards down from Hi Banks, so I am going to try there on Saturday to see what it's all about.

got out early this morning on fish and the bite was hot between 9-12 am. all of the nicer fish came out of 16 ft of water on buckshots or a demon and fathead. well anyways a long day of fishing deserves a good meal!

We plan on goin out on Saturday as well. We'll either be hittin Caribou or Fish or both. Although much like you guys I got a late nite on Friday myself. Our band is playin at Mr D's, so I won't be out on the lakes till about 10 ir 11 a.m.( mooshycookie dot com )
