northerns or walleyes

some friends and I are going to be fishing mille lacs from thursday night to sunday morning. Is it worth setting some tip ups out during the day or concentrate on eyes the whole time. If so should tip ups be set were we are fishing walleyes or in more shallow water.

Its not a bad idea to set out some tipups near your house, but I would rig them for 'eyes. Sometimes the tipups will produce more just because there is not as much noise out there.
