Lakeside Reef/Two Mile

I am heading up to Mille Lacs on Saturday. Has anyone had any luck around Lakeside Reef? Is Hunters Point providing access now that Lakeside Resort is closed? Any luck on Two Mile Reef?

Thanks

Hunters has a road out to Lakeside 2 mile with a bridge. I spent the last 10 days on the south end of two mile fishing is come and go. The first night we had 7 with one keeper. The bite seems to be more at night. The next few days were alot slower than the first. We did have some problems with some of the roads busting up because the lake is not locked in yet so call ahead before you head up for the weekend. Good luck fishing.

Any jumbo perch being caught in this area of the lake? We are renting a house from Hunter's this weekend. I know the reports have been slow so I'm not expecting much. Just wishing the fish were biting!

I'm on top of 2 mile at 27 feet so I have not had one perch. I have not heard how the rental houses are doing. Goerge does a great job of moving his rental houses trying to keep people on fish. Good luck this weekend and I'll probbably see you in the resort.

Don't take me wrong, I'm not anti-technology.  Battery powdered items will always have their place.  I'm mean you don't want your girl friend or wife in the bedroom playing for their gas powered adult toys!!  That would be a bit loud and smokey!

That’s right. My 84 year old dad loves his electric chain saw. Light weight and quiet. Besides, at his age he’s not cutting a bunch. Where as myself I want something with more power and heavier duty.  Look at how many people have switched back to gasoline cars after running one in winter if you travel a lot.   As long as my strike master works I’ll keep using gas. Maybe my next will be electric, but who knows,  you can find used gas ones pretty reasonable as others buy electric.

This is the bait frig at L&M in Virginia, the other day. Also, added Highway 65 bait.

I think electric items have their places, I just don't think large commercial jobs are going to be able to work well with them. Can't see a logging crew out in the woods all day changing batteries!
