Deer Co-Cain

Has anyone out there tried putting this stuff down? I've had a couple people tell me that it is awesome, but haven't tried it myself. I understand that it is a mix of minerals, is it ok to use during season or is that illegal baiting?

per the DNR regulations, you can't "bait" deer, "liquid scents, salt, and minerals are not considered bait."

If it's a mineral then it's okay in Minnesota. bait is..."grain,fruit, vegetables, nuts, hay, or other food..."

Yes, it is legal, because it is only minerals. I've been using it for a couple of years and it's amazing the holes that get dug around where you put the block down. You need to get it down soon for the firearms opener because the rain and moisture is what really activates it and gets the minerals in the soil.
