Any info on big Pike fishing in the area?

Welcome to the forum Evets! We just started hitting the ice ourselves and it's been for panfish, but have had some folks who have come in with some northerns.

Third River was producing last week and the week before, Island Lake produced some northerns for a couple of the guys who were here this week (sorry, they wouldn't say exactly where they were and Island Lake has been slow for most folks), and the monster pike can also be found at Upper Red Lake. Had some guys who tried some spearing on Blackduck yesterday and they said that the spot they were at the water clarity was bad so they didn't bring any back. We've pulled some decent ones out of Blackduck during open water but haven't tried it this season yet to see what happens for angling on the ice.
