How thick is the ice on Blackduck?

I heard that there were some houses on Blackduck. Is this true? How thick is the ice? How is the fishing?

Can't wait to hit the ice with you Drake and Diane!

Drake- Do you ice fish the spot you sent Tiffany and I to this summer? We would like to try it with our house this winter.

Hey Woodman~We were busy with family and a full house this past weekend so we didn't make it out. Went to Hillcrest Saturday night and noticed those ice houses out there also...they were quite a ways out. Some of the guys that we talked to on Saturday said it was 6" to 7" thick, with the temps that we are having it's going to thicken up pretty quick..woke up this morning at 9 below and I think it got to 3 degrees here today!

FYI~Had some guys who headed over to Blackduck this afternoon for awhile and they said the ice was pushing 12" Said they were scanning fish~brought in a 1 3/4lb walleye. The rest of the fishermen are on their way out tomorrow...trying to get the new heater connected in the fish cleaning room and putting the finishing touches in there so will just wait and go out once the ice will hold the truck~with these temps hopefully won't be too much longer .
