Hey everyone, We were fishing different lakes over this past weekend and had some really good results.
I was northern fishing on Red this weekend with another client and we managed to catch a lot of big northerns. Our biggest was 18lbs and our smallest was 5.1lbs. We caught 12 fishing in between 30" - 44". We were having so much fun with the big northerns we didn't fish for crappies at all.
We also fished on Blackduck lake friday and saturday evening and everyone with us had limits. Black bottom bay was where they were hitting very well. Our biggest was 18" the rest were around 15".
Gull lake was also producing nice size walleyes. Not as many but 19"ers.
With the warmer water temps, fishing is going good to great now.

Good luck everyone

Fishing was VERY good over the weekend. Friday and Saturday produced many limits of nice walleye on Blackduck Lake for many of our folks here. With the water temperatures warming up the fish are moving to the areas that they normally are at opener weekend~near the island. Bobber fishing or just drifting worked for catching walleyes on the Duck. Upper Red also produced some really nice crappies on Friday and Saturday, but with the winds most folks did fish the southshore.

Sunday's wind seemed to cool the water temps down and slow things down a bit. Some folks tried on Upper Red but with the west winds they didn't stay out there very long. Fish were scanning at all depths on Blackduck, but mostly some nice northerns were the catch. Winnie produced some very nice walleyes and perch for some of our folks also.

TODAY~Well what a perfect day grin.gif Went to Upper Red with some of our guests and it was great. Couldn't ask for a nicer day with the sun shining and a light breeze. The four in our boat were out for about 3 hours and latched onto 40 crappies coming in at a little over a pound a piece. Up near the north shore, bobber fishing about 3 to 3 1/2 feet down drifting along in 6 feet of water. Three out of four using a plain hook and a minnow, one using a dark red jig and a minnow. The others in our group also did very well, latching on to over 20 for each group of two in that same 3 hour time period, which was all they needed to finish their limit or all they wanted to clean smile.gif
