I am coming up 169 from Minnetonka, leaving at 5am. Can anyone suggest a place to get leeches that will be open around 6 am?

Princes'Bait? maybe

Prince's would be a good place to stop. Last time I was there jumbos were $11/ half pound, compared to the Holiday store in Onamia that charged $16 for 1/2 pound. You may even want to look into buying bait in the Cities and put it in a cooler to keep it cool on the ride up.

I always go to Lundeens at the corner of 169 and 27 just north of Onamia.

According to their website they open at 5 am. Dont just get leeches, we had just as much luck last weekend with shiners.

Princes' Bait. I wouldn't stop anywhere else. Bought 1/2# of jumbos last weekend. I think it's the first time I've heard leeches growl!LOL Great bait and great people.

Where is Prince's Bait? I normally go up Hwy 65, but sometimes go up 169 and am clueless when it comes to getting good bait on the way.

For those who go up 65, there is a place north of Mora that consistently has the freshest, liveliest bait I have ever found: 65 Bait. It's a dump and the guy is opinionated, but it's always worth the stop.

Prince is south of Milly on 169(about15-20 miles). Give them your business, as mentioned they are really nice, great prices and very large scoops! Only bad thing is they have funky hours, for instance they are not even open on Sundays. I don't know if they are open by 6 a.m.??? Personally I would never give the a-holes at lundeens a penny, I have given them many chances to prove they are decent folks, I would sooner use no bait than buy from them! Also if you go through too early as I do, the holiday will work, but they are more expensive and have no good info! I got a 1/2 pound of Medium from them recently for $8.50 price is not the worst, but the leeches were very good and I would call them larges.

My go to lures with lead core have been #5 Shad Raps and #7 Jointed Rapalas.  With Shad Raps I usually start about 2 mph with 85 ft of lead out in 20 ft of water. I usually use a 20 ft mono leader.  With Jointed Rapalas I let out 100ft of lead traveling 2 mph.  I am moving between 20 and 25 ft of water.

My name is HANNA HENRY .I want to give thanks to HAKEEM AHMED for bringing back my ex husband. No one could have ever made me believe that the letter I’m about to write would actually one day be written. I was the world’s biggest skeptic. I never believed in magic spells or anything like this, but I was told by a reliable source (a very close co-worker) that Trust is a very dedicated, gifted, and talented person,It was one of the best things I have ever done. My love life was in shambles; I had been through two divorces and was on the brink of a third. I just couldn’t face another divorce, and I wanted to try harder to make our relationship work, but my husband didn’t seem to care. and he broke up with me again . I was confused and did not know what to do again, rather they got in contact with HAKEEM AHMED. He did a love spell that made my husband come back to me. We are now very much happy with ourselves. HAKEEM AHMED makes him realize how much we love and need each other .This man is for REAL and for good . He can also help you to fix your broken relationship. I had my husband back! It was like a miracle! He suddenly wanted to go to marriage counseling, and we’re doing very, very well , in our love life . contact email [email protected] or text or add him up on whatsApp at: +27788392740 his web page http://astrologerastrology.com

You'll appreciate having less guys in the boat if you need to drag raps.

I love pulling lead core but usually don't pull it out until later in the season.  Can you share depth and speed numbers that were working with lead?  Thanks.

Heading up early Saturday morning. Going to be a short, discombobulated trip this year. Starting with 4 of us but one has to leave to watch his son play in state (WI) baseball tournament on Tuesday. Rest of us are only there until Wednesday. Kind of disappointing but I'm thinking we'll have to make a trip in September as well.    Forecast calls for wind!

Those are cormorants and they are aggressive fish eaters.  I saw more last weekend than typical on vermilion.  Pretty common  on the east end but I don’t usually see much of any on the west which is where we were.  They eat a lot of fish and surprisingly large fish for their size so they aren’t great for the fish populations.     I can’t believe how fast the water warmed up.  We were seeing up to the high 70’s last weekend.  Typically mid June is mid to upper 60’s.  The Muskies didn’t seem to be too fired up with the quick warm up.  The ones we moved were lazy and would not go in to the turn.  Hopefully some more normal temps this week help.
