Hi Bigguns,

I was planning on hitting the water at midnight, but I think that may have changed now. I believe we are shooting for a 5 am start.

I thought about starting at the stroke of midnight, but decided to try and get SOME sleep so I wouldnt be too burned out come Saturday night.

How about you? Are fishing Mille lacs on opener? At midnight? If so, where do you plan on going out of?

Yeah, its kinda my tradition to be out on the water at midnight. Makes me feel special or something. I'm for sure going to be out there at mid night. I'm lucky enough to have flying fish be dedicated as much as I am. Him and i will probably be going out of the the south east corner somewhere. If were're gonna take his boat, we'll be all over the lake. You guys can't honestly tell me that you can sleep opener eve. Its easy to see me. Since its gonna snow I'll be wearing my bright yellow michelob stocking hat. Say hi if you see me first. we'll probably be bobber fishing while we take turns sleeping.

I said I would TRY to sleep opener eve! Whenever I am planning on going to Mille Lacs, opener or any other time, I never really sleep well because I am so excited to get up there. This is one reason why I contemplated starting at midnight.

I see you are going to be out of the SE corner. What areas are you planning to hit?
We are tentatively planning to start on the NE (depending on wind) and work down the eastside towards the SE corner.

I will look for your bright yellow hat and check in with you if I see you. I will be in my black/gray 1650 Angler with tiller 50hp Yamaha. I will be driving and wearing a wetland camo rainsuit.

Good luck

I know you want a more specific answer but Its really hard to say. It depends on the weather. Early in the morning we will be the northern middle portion pulling lindys. When the sun comes up we'll head out to some humps further south near the bays. But like said, With flying fish and I, we will probably be all over the lake. But for the most part we will be fairly shallow.

My name is HANNA HENRY .I want to give thanks to HAKEEM AHMED for bringing back my ex husband. No one could have ever made me believe that the letter I’m about to write would actually one day be written. I was the world’s biggest skeptic. I never believed in magic spells or anything like this, but I was told by a reliable source (a very close co-worker) that Trust is a very dedicated, gifted, and talented person,It was one of the best things I have ever done. My love life was in shambles; I had been through two divorces and was on the brink of a third. I just couldn’t face another divorce, and I wanted to try harder to make our relationship work, but my husband didn’t seem to care. and he broke up with me again . I was confused and did not know what to do again, rather they got in contact with HAKEEM AHMED. He did a love spell that made my husband come back to me. We are now very much happy with ourselves. HAKEEM AHMED makes him realize how much we love and need each other .This man is for REAL and for good . He can also help you to fix your broken relationship. I had my husband back! It was like a miracle! He suddenly wanted to go to marriage counseling, and we’re doing very, very well , in our love life . contact email [email protected] or text or add him up on whatsApp at: +27788392740 his web page http://astrologerastrology.com

You'll appreciate having less guys in the boat if you need to drag raps.

I love pulling lead core but usually don't pull it out until later in the season.  Can you share depth and speed numbers that were working with lead?  Thanks.

Heading up early Saturday morning. Going to be a short, discombobulated trip this year. Starting with 4 of us but one has to leave to watch his son play in state (WI) baseball tournament on Tuesday. Rest of us are only there until Wednesday. Kind of disappointing but I'm thinking we'll have to make a trip in September as well.    Forecast calls for wind!

Those are cormorants and they are aggressive fish eaters.  I saw more last weekend than typical on vermilion.  Pretty common  on the east end but I don’t usually see much of any on the west which is where we were.  They eat a lot of fish and surprisingly large fish for their size so they aren’t great for the fish populations.     I can’t believe how fast the water warmed up.  We were seeing up to the high 70’s last weekend.  Typically mid June is mid to upper 60’s.  The Muskies didn’t seem to be too fired up with the quick warm up.  The ones we moved were lazy and would not go in to the turn.  Hopefully some more normal temps this week help.
