The water is still slightly up and murkier than it was before the rain. With the rain we had last night and the expected rain for today, it will probably stay up and dingy for awhile. Good for navigating, bad for fishing.

We got a nice whalloping from last night's storms down here in the metro. How bad was it up there HT?

From the weather reports, it looks like more rain is on the way over the next few days. It's about time it finally rained, the river was in bad shape! Give it a week or two and it should settle down a little (hopefully). I will definitely be watching the flow reports.

One good thing for dingy water is better topwater action. In dingy water, the noisier & more vibration the better. Plastics will produce, but you may see a better catch if you switch to flashier, noiser, & loud baits.

It stormed all night in Monti. I hope it rained up north as much as it did here.

Did hurricane ivan just skip the south and head to MN??? We've probably got a 1.5-2'' of rain and the major heavy rain hasn't even reached us yet! The river may be a flood stage by tonight. j/k (hopefully). Good for the river, bad for us fishermen!

When the river comes up a lot - look to runoffs and newly submerged shoreline cuts/breaks. The high waters dislodges a lot of food for fish along the shorelines.

Most of the northern part of the state is getting a lot of rain right now. Looks like the cities are in the clear, for this moment any ways.

We all know the river is up - but how is the water clarity up there?

you can get to horseshoe by boat but not far enough to get any fish yet.   This may change in the next few days.   I plan on ice fishing on shoe today.   Should be able to land a nice amount of slabs.   Don

Drove by Elysian on my way home this afternoon. Shoreline didn’t appear to be pulling away, view from the highway for what it’s worth.

Got the property surveyed today. Originally plotted back in 1968 and sure enough there where metal pipes marking 3 of the corners but who knows how long it would have taken me to find them. They placed a monument on the missing corner. Hopefully this warm weather sticks around, need to remove some trees and get the wheel house moved in. Thanks everyone for your responses!

Was out on the lake today. Easy 24-26" inches of hard ice yet.

Drove around the entire lake today. From the road it looks like the warm weather has melted most of the snow. Only saw about a half dozen people fishing. Ice isn’t pulling away from shore yet. Stopped at the Borden access and walked out a bit, kicked myself for not bringing the fishing equipment, easy travel out there.

Plastic PC is 3/4 x2 x3.5. Drilled shallow holes on the transom side for the adhesive to cling to. Pretty solid. Time will tell

No shutoff needed. Take a photo of how you mounted your transducer Alex.
