The lakes are opening up,Little Sand north of Remer is open. Big Sand west of Remer is open. Today I am going to Little Sand to check on crappies in the channel to see if they moved into shallow water. Fishing has been real slow due to slow melt of ice from the lakes. So i will keep you all posted on lakes that are opening.

The lakes are opening up, i was out yesterday in the boat and it ran great. So by this weekend they should be open with this nice weather. The crappies haven't moved in the shallows yet but I will try it out today.

Hi Walleye,
Saw your posting today.
You are lucky to have open water.
We are still frozen in except for a few small bays that are partially open.
Haven't been able to get the new boat in the water yet.
Hope it runs for the opener!!!
Good luck and hope to be able to exchange fishing trips some time this spring or summer if we getany free time.
See ya.

Hi Cliff
The lakes are open around Remer,I went out to Little Sand and caught crappies today. My wife went also for the first time in couple years and she caught crappies also. I hope this guiding takes off this year. So if we have some time I like to come up there and give it a try. So good luck this year and catch a lot of walleye's for your customers.
Talk to you later.

Walleye, by chance is the ice out close on Inguadona? Any good advice on crappie locations. I know to look at warmer water in the bays and shallows, but maybe you have fished the lake before. Thanks, WS

To Walleye Slayer
Inguadona is open. Last year was the first time on the lake and some friends of mine from Remer went and caught some crappies on the southwest side by river channel, using tube jigs in assortment of colors. This tear my wife and I are going there and try it again for crappies. Yesterday at Little Sand north of Remer, my wife caught a six pound Bass, boy was she exited about catching that Bass. But the crappies where biting also.

Don't take me wrong, I'm not anti-technology.  Battery powdered items will always have their place.  I'm mean you don't want your girl friend or wife in the bedroom playing for their gas powered adult toys!!  That would be a bit loud and smokey!

That’s right. My 84 year old dad loves his electric chain saw. Light weight and quiet. Besides, at his age he’s not cutting a bunch. Where as myself I want something with more power and heavier duty.  Look at how many people have switched back to gasoline cars after running one in winter if you travel a lot.   As long as my strike master works I’ll keep using gas. Maybe my next will be electric, but who knows,  you can find used gas ones pretty reasonable as others buy electric.
