Bait Stores near Chaska

Recommended Posts

I live in Chaska, MN and am in the search for nearby baitsops. I have found one in Shakopee, but it is a bit out of the way for me and was wondering if anyone knows of other one in the area. Even a gas station with leaches/crawlers would be a good start.

Thanks!

Cabin Fever in Victoria is one of the best in the metro and not far from Chaska. It is right on the north side of highway 5 as you come into Victoria from the east.

Thanks a lot guys. I will check out Cabin Fever.

If anyone also knows of some nice lakes in the area that might not get very much pressure, please let me know. I know I am not far from Waconia, and have fished that a few times. Lately I have been fishing Lake Riley (near Bearpath) and have done OK on the bass and northern, but mostly I have been getting some pretty nice crappies the past couple weeks, but it is not a huge lake and the weekends it is pretty packed with skiers/tubers.

Thanks a lot!!

Atombomb, if you are fishing Lake Riley you could try the Sinclair gas station in Chanhassen next to the McDonalds off of Hwy 5. They are nice people and they have minnows, leeches, crawlers, etc. and just started carrying bait about 3 months ago.

Don't take me wrong, I'm not anti-technology.  Battery powdered items will always have their place.  I'm mean you don't want your girl friend or wife in the bedroom playing for their gas powered adult toys!!  That would be a bit loud and smokey!

That’s right. My 84 year old dad loves his electric chain saw. Light weight and quiet. Besides, at his age he’s not cutting a bunch. Where as myself I want something with more power and heavier duty.  Look at how many people have switched back to gasoline cars after running one in winter if you travel a lot.   As long as my strike master works I’ll keep using gas. Maybe my next will be electric, but who knows,  you can find used gas ones pretty reasonable as others buy electric.

This is the bait frig at L&M in Virginia, the other day. Also, added Highway 65 bait.

I think electric items have their places, I just don't think large commercial jobs are going to be able to work well with them. Can't see a logging crew out in the woods all day changing batteries!
