Lottery profits

Seems the state has collected $100 million in profits from the lottery with $45 going toward environmental and natural resources funds. Has anyone seen this money put to use?

Yeah one example I've seen is the really nice new building in fort snelling park, some visitors center or something, I'm sure there's more, but specifically that the only example I've heard of.

If a person would ask the lottery could or would they tell you where the money gone?? I think we should see how the money is used.

I'm guessing the money isn't going towards what it was originally intended for...??

Isn't a good portion of it going into the general fund, NOT towards environmental programs as originally intended??

The Outdoor Political Forum guys should be on top of this one.

I and my wife have been wondering where this money's gone, also. Seems to me that in this day and age that this kind of info should be available to anyone. Hopefully, on line. While I'm sure that a visitor's bldg. in Snelling is a nice thing, it doesn't exactly sound to me like an environmental or natural resource investment. I'd prefer they put most funds toward habitat maintenance and restoration. It'd be nice if the decision-makers were avid fishermen.
