Eagle Trailers, Company Troubles?

Has anyone else hand any contact lately with Eagle Trailers in Mi. I own a 2003 Pro-Fisherman (for a 1750 Crestliner Fishhawk) that needed some warranty coverage. I was having trouble getting prompt or any re-ply at all from their customer service. Now I received a note saying that there production line is shut down and the owner is in negotiations with the bank? This worries me! Does anyone else know more or been experiencing the same?
Thanks, Moose

Hello all, I am Dave Varitek, Director of IS and HR at Eagle Trailer. It is true that we do have some issues with our bank but we are currently working through them. To address some of the comments, the company has not been sold, production ended in Wyandotte Michigan in the fall of 2002 and our current production facility is located in Homer Michigan and we began production there in August 2002. Please hang with us while we work through this.

I sent Eagle an email on the status of their company as I am picking up a new boat with an Eagle trailer this Thursday. I received a response back right away from Chip Schwein of Eagle. His correspondence reads: Currently the owner of the company has a disagreement going with his bank. It is true production is currently shut down. It is suppose to start this week I believe that all this will shake out to be is a couple week production shut down and Eagle line of trailers will continue to grow and expand.

Thanks for that info. Makes me feel slightly better about the future of the company. Hope things get worked out for them which in turn will progress my warranty issue with them.

I've you've got an issue on a trailer that's still under warranty, won't your dealer help you...

I have an agreement with Eagle to have the trailer replaced. I have not involved my dealer as of yet other than to arrange to have the trailers swapped out. The last two notes from Eagle were that they had to check inventory and would let me know and then i hear there shut down with banking problems. They have been coopertive with the problem, just very hard to get quick responses from them.I now understand why.
