Off Topic: T-Wolves are best in the west!

Recommended Posts

KG for MVP!
Flip for Coach of the Year!
McHale for Executive of the Year!
Our roster is deep and everyone is stepping up.

I have to believe that the wolves can win it all this year. They will not be one and dones this year in the playoffs, watch out Denver.

This ain't your daddy's Timberwolves anymore.

Way to go Wolves for a franchise best of 58 wins, also tied for the best road record in the NBA!

A true fan, EBass

It is great to be a Timberwolves fan, now hope they don't pull a vikings on us, I guess if they win the first series or two would be great also, they are fun to watch, and if they do end up losing they will fight to the end, the big ticket don't quit, looks like he is pissed off all the time, man I love that!!!!

KG is the best player in the league, and better yet he is a role model for the younger crowd. They sure looked good last night in walking over Memphis!! If they were in the East they would be in the finals easily!! I sure have enjoyed the ride so far.

WooooHooo!

KG is the best player on the planet, and now he has talent all around him. We will get past the first round of the playoffs for sure this year. But anything past that is going to be a dogfight between heavyweights. San Antonio is the defending champs on an eleven game run, and a healthy Laker team is still scary. I don't think Sacramento is on the same level as the wolves and these other 2. It's gonna be fun!!!

Go Wolves!!!!

Way to go T-Wolves! I really think they have the chance to do it, but the west is scary! There is 5 teams that could win it! The east has really 2 teams and they would be 4th at best in the west. Should be fun. Please, just get out of the 1st round so we don't have to listen to that crap anymore!

If the chips fall properly, San Antonio and the Lakers will meet in the second round.

Da kid is now THE MAN / The Ticket / The 2003-04 MVP is what he is!

K.G. is the MVP! Anyone who ? this is nuts.
Like others say I want San Antonio to beat up on the Lakers and move on to play the wolves. Then I can see the 2 best big men in the game. K.G. and Tim Duncan. These guys are smooth. Plus they can shoot the ball, dribble, pass, play D and make free throws. Not just bull people over and dunk. You know who that is.
I think if the Wolves can beat San Antonio they deserve to be Champs and should be.
I just hope they can toughen up on D and play more physical like the playoffs will surely be.

I think the Wolves have really tightened it up the last couple weeks and are on a nice roll going in to the playoffs. They have the best player in the game with one of the top supporting casts in the league. In my opinion they are a much better team with Troy Hudson not playing. I will catch flack for that as well as he played in the playoffs last year but look at the skid they hit when he came back this year. Coincidence they started winning when he went back on the injured list? I think not. I was not in favor of Wally playing so much but he has shown he is back to himself. Gotta have the Kandi man coming off the bench playing aggressive too. I can't wait. Is it Sunday yet?

Pro basketball stopped being interesting when John Havlichek retired. It has as much credibility as pro wrestling.

Ifallsron, What did you just say? Come on man theres no comparison between NBA and "Pro" wrestling! Theres no scrpits in B-Ball unlike wrestling. Now is when we see the real deal. Everyone playing hard every night. Even the wrestlers are great athletes and I can apreciate that. I guess you cant. Oh well, to each his own.

Everything has fallen into place PERFECTLY for the Wolves to make it to the finals this year.

Denver SHOULD be a wash in 5 games or less.

Second round they SHOULD beat either of those teams, Mav's or Kings, but it could go to 6 or 7 games.....hope it's the Mavs so I can watch Cuban go ballistic...hehehe

And THEN in the WCF, the Spurs and Lakers will be so beat up from that series that the Wolves should ALSO beat either of them....7 games to do it though. Heck, now that the Mailman has gone down AGAIN, the Lakers might not even get past Yao and company...wouldnt that be sweet....BUT, I would rather see the lakers face the Spurs to make it a tough series for both.

THEN in the finals, it's against the East, what more can you say there.....

Gonna start scopin out parade viewing spots downtown!!

That was an awesome story on KG. It sure seemed like he got his personality from his mom! He had to go through some tough things...I cannot believe that his mom did not even know that he was playing basketball!! That is a love of the game!

Come on IFallsRon. I'd like to see you stand under the basket with KG coming down the floor on a fast break. When you finally wake up after he dunks on you and he is giving you the stare, credibility wouldn't be an issue anymore.

With the early ice out, how is the curlyleaf pondweed doing?

On the south end...   The big basin, otherwise known as Big Traverse Bay, is ice free.  Zippel Bay and Four Mile Bay are ice free as well.  Everything is shaping up nicely for the MN Fishing Opener on May 11th. With the walleye / sauger season currently closed, most anglers are targeting sturgeon and pike.  Some sturgeon anglers are fishing at the mouth of the Rainy River, but most sturgeon are targeted in Four Mile Bay or the Rainy River.  Hence, pike are the targeted species on the south shore and various bays currently.   Pike fishing this time of year is a unique opportunity, as LOW is border water with Canada, the pike season is open year round. The limit is 3 pike per day with one being able to be more than 40 inches. All fish 30 - 40 inches must be released. Back bays hold pike as they go through the various stages of the spawn.  Deadbait under a bobber, spinners, spoons and shallow diving crankbaits are all viable options.   Four Mile Bay, Bostic Bay and Zippel Bay are all small water and boats of various sizes work well. On the Rainy River...  Great news this week as we learned sturgeon will not be placed on the endangered species list by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.     The organization had to make a decision by June 30 and listing sturgeon could have ended sturgeon fishing.  Thankfully, after looking at the many success stories across the nation, including LOW and the Rainy River, sturgeon fishing and successful sturgeon management continues.   A good week sturgeon fishing on the Rainy River.  Speaking to some sturgeon aficionados, fishing will actually get even better as water temps rise.     Four Mile Bay at the mouth of the Rainy River near the Wheeler's Point Boat Ramp is still producing good numbers of fish, as are various holes along the 42 miles of navigable Rainy River from the mouth to Birchdale.   The sturgeon season continues through May 15th and resumes again July 1st.   Oct 1 - April 23, Catch and Release April 24 - May 7, Harvest Season May 8 - May 15, Catch and Release May 16 - June 30, Sturgeon Fishing Closed July 1 - Sep 30, Harvest Season If you fish during the sturgeon harvest season and you want to keep a sturgeon, you must purchase a sturgeon tag for $5 prior to fishing.    One sturgeon per calendar year (45 - 50" inclusive, or over 75"). Most sturgeon anglers are either a glob of crawlers or a combo of crawlers and frozen emerald shiners on a sturgeon rig, which is an 18" leader with a 4/0 circle hook combined with a no roll sinker.  Local bait shops have all of the gear and bait. Up at the NW Angle...  A few spots with rotten ice, but as a rule, most of the Angle is showing off open water.  In these parts, most are looking ahead to the MN Fishing Opener.  Based on late ice fishing success, it should be a good one.

Nice fish. I moved to the Sartell area last summer and just thought it was windy like this everyday up here? 🤭

Crazy windy again today.... This is has been the norm this spring. Between the wind and the cold fronts, fishing has been more challenging for me than most years.  Panfish have been moving in and out of the shallows quite a bit. One day they are up in the slop, the next they are out relating to cabbage or the newly sprouting lilly pads.  Today eye guy and I found them in 4-5 ft of water, hanging close to any tree branches that happened to be laying in the water.  Bigger fish were liking a 1/32 head and a Bobby Garland baby shad.   Highlight of the day way this healthy 15incher
