In-fisherman staff sightings

Recommended Posts

I was thinking that as much as I have fished in central MN, I have only seen one Infisherman staff member on the water, It was Douge Stange on the Horseshoe chain fishing for cats from shore. It was cool because we had just watched a cat segment on the show and We could tell he was on the chain. A week later we pull up see the red truck and sticker in the window and sure enough there was Douge casting from shore, We fished right with him and He was very nice, but the cats were not biting that day. Anybody else out there seen these guys on the water, Where? What where they fishing for?

I ran into Dan Sura and Jimmy linder out on the Horseshoe chain also they were after cats. Talked to the both of them, they seemed like pleasant guys. Ran into Al Linder on Rice lake up by Brainerd. He was out fishing Bass so I went over and chatted with him what a phenomenal person. I also fished the Silverado Bass league one year and got a chance to talk to Jimmy linder and the Capra's quite often.

Saw Ron and Al Lindner fishing the Mississippi near Brainerd last fall - they were fishing for smallies. They didn't seem too happy with one another so we did not go over. Ron caught a small fish that fell off on the deck of the boat and proceeded to give it a pretty good kick into the water. What a difference the camera's make!

The Angler's Edge rig seems to be parked at the Mille Lacs ramps fairly often. I thought the lake was supposed to be "the dead sea"? wink.gif

When I was in high school working at a gas station in the deli area Al and Ron Lindner stopped to gas up at our station. Too bad they weren't in the mood for subs, otherwise I probably could have talked to them for a bit. This was in Aitkin.

Was out on 9mile mud last summer, when lund flew up, it was al lindner, had a nice fish on and was playing it for the camera, we were about 100 yards away when we see the rod stand straight back up, I am not ripping on him because everyone throws a fit once and a while when you lose a nice one but it was hysterical watching him hit the water with his rod. Like I said everyone has done that so its not a big deal, just a nice laugh.

On a couple of different occasions I've seen Ron and Al fishing for smallmouth up here on the Mississippi. Another time on Gull it was Jim Linder and Dan Sura. Maybe one day I'll meet them at the access, It would be neet to have a chat with my childhood fishing idols.

Met Al Lindner and Dan Sura at Gander Mtn.'s grand opening in Forest Lake. What a thrill to talk to them in person and listen to their knowledge about fishing. They seem to be really down to earth people, just like you and I.

Two other guys that are down to earth are Chip Leer and Tommy SKarlis, from the on ice tour.

I've been lucky enough to do business with In-Fish. One perk of boat building is to demo with some of the best fisherman around. From time to time,I fish with Matt Straw and Steve Hoffman. The In-Fish crew as whole, seem to be fantastic folks. I've been honored to guide for a couple of river fish segments. Not that I'm that great of a guide (or the need me), but I do stumble into some fairly good fish on the river.

I was up ice fishing at the Northwest Angle on Lake of the Woods and the In-Fisherman crew was staying at the Angle Outpost. We would see them at the different bars up there everynight. The camera crews would go out and get pretty "happy", but the Linders never left the the resort. Very nice guys.

I ran into Al Lindner and others a few years ago when they stopped in the cafe we were in for some breakfast. They were fishing for some spring crappies out near Pillager in the area west of Brainerd. They were courteous and friendly. I'd be glad to meet them again

Saw Al, Ron and Jimmy on the Rainy last Spring. Always had a bunch of boats around them and they just seemed to be shootin the breeze with everybody. Came by us on their way back to the landing and slowed down, waved, then took off. Seem to be very nice guys.
