St. Croix OPENS 4/28 at 12:01

The Croix opens at 12:01 April 28th! This should be a great season with a "normal" spring this year...good old days...I'm thinkin ya!

hey Turk, Hows the fishing pressure on the StCroix for the opener? Do cranks work this early? Or jigs/minnows. I'm thinking of inviting my brother up and would like to have some idea what to expect. Thanks.

The opener this year will be good, it will be faster water than last year for sho.And current areas will draw attetnion, and rightly so. the channel will be crammed. But there is always some where to go, the opener is nothing in terms of total boats as compared to fishing around the 4th of July or other big holidaze.... That reminds me, fun in the sun!!! ye haw soon soon soon....I'm so proud to call the Croix my home waters she has so many other bodies of water beat in terms of the "entire package" scenic beauty, public beaches, fishing, river community, close - great day trip destinations, people watching, and the ability to find solitude (very key)....
