Just back from Kab...The fish are definitely not in the same areas as last year at this time. The grassy Islands were not producing.. Cemetary, no luck... slot fish in 50 plus feet of water, and only one report of a sauger being caught... Peterson Bay rewarded some eyes, as well as the south end of Bittersweet Island... quite a few northerns... The highest water temp I saw was 50.2 degrees, but the majority of the temps were around 48 degrees. The fish were also giving us a rather pathetic bite when they did decide to take a bait.. plenty of missed fish and a few swear words! Northerns--all over... The first two days we were using 3/8 ounce jigs with a power grug tipped with a minnow.. our results were much better with a lindy rig and a bit of movement! I am heading back on Tuesday for a few days! Water, if you are listening.. warm up soon.. see ya
