weekend fishing

I am taking my parents to Alex this weekend for some fishing. They are in their late 70s and have never jigged for walleye so don't want to try for them. Looking for a smaller lake for northern or bass. Any suggestions. Have looked over the DNR site and considering Oscar or Lobster. Are these good lakes to try? Thanks for any help.

chemfish....those would be two good lakes to try, but not that small. looking for northerns or bass mainly?...try Darling or Victoria, on the Chain...or some of the other 'lower chain' lakes, like Brophy, or Cowdry. smaller waters, and good bass numbers in each.

hope the weather cooperates this weekend.
