South shore Upper Red

I just spent 5-days fishing out of my place on the south shore and the fishing was good. Had some friends up 2-days an they went home with limits. The fishing was best during the day then drops off in the evening. I fished till 800pm one evening and only caught a few fish after 400pm and not a bite after 600pm. Small jigs with or without wax worms worked best during the day seems like the perch dont like them as well as minnows. Ice conditions were good but watch for ice chunks. Codeman didnt show darn he loves to clean crappies i guess hes busy catching bluegills. Only made it to happy hour once and didnt run into Kelly. Well thats my report from the south shore. Will be at Prior Lake for a few, taking care of grand children will be back up next week. The only time i see you on this side is when you check minnow traps. My holes are the ones with blood around them.

I'm back from gill fishin'. Had a great time but realize I made a huge mistake not coming up for a day to fish with you. My loss. Send me an e-mail some time in the next week and let me know your weekend schedules for the near future. If you have nobody coming up, I can be talked into hanging out for a couple of days. I'd like to come up on a Friday and stay till Monday. My knives are sharp and just waiting for the opportunity to prepare supper. We'll have to hog tie Kelly the first evening to get him to fish with us. I suppose I could sweet talk littleitaly to join us. Give him a call and tell him we lost a jug of Cap'm Morgan on the south shore somewhere. He'll come a runnin". Glad to hear you've been experiencing some good luck. Hope it holds out for a while.
