Hey Sandee, or anyone who may know.
I always thought that when fishing the rainy in the spring your posession limit was 2 fish under 19-1/2 inches...I have read in a couple of places, including this months outdoor life magazine, "that a two fish per day limit and only one of them may be longer then 19-1/2"...is this true? Can a guy keep a "trophy" fish?

March 1st thru April 14, 2 walleye, all fish over 19.5 must be released. Cold and windy here in Wannaska, must be about the same in Grygla huh? come'on warm weather! PLEASE!!!

birddog - friskyknut is correct - all fish over 19 1/2" must be released in the Rainy River from March 1st through April 14th.

If you are fishing the canadian side, the size slot is 18.1" and over must be released.

absolutley the same....we had a trip planned for this weekend up to the Rainy...guess it will be out to LOW on Sat.instead. I figured the weather would be a lot nicer!
As for the Rainy, I thought that was the case, but in the Outdoor life I got today, it talks about spring fishing with one over 19-1/2.....
