Havin' Fun

Anyone out taking advantage of some of the jumbos out there on OT lately?

I thought I might venture there this weekend. I hate the fact that I will have to hoof it, but if the weather cooperates, I might. Might have to ask for some permission to cross some property to get to my hot spots.

Sounds tempting, but I am packing the Otter Canvas into its rubbermaid for the season this weekend.

It was a strange year for ice fishing, but a pretty dang good one.

Was on bass lake near snellman today for awhile. If you like to catch little perch in the 3 to 4 inch range(thats being generous) then this is the lake for you! lolol Pretty lake but crapps we not very cooperative. Ice was about 16 inches thick. My house is getting put away this week and boats are coming out. Jeez I need open water soon! Paul

Hey Paul, the ice was actually out last Thursday on our local lake here. Froze up again since, but give me a week or 2 and I'll be chasin' eyes and trying out that new planer board!!! WooooHooooo

Hiya smitty!
That newfangled board big enough to need a mast? lolol I wish we could troll two lines per here in mn. It would justify all the money I've spent on offshore tackle stuff! lolol I love them boards. I only get to use them down on lake traverse and they are worth every penney there. Paul

I'm thinkin' I may need a mast yet. The boards are about 19" long and the "dual" style, so we'll see. Figure I'll try 'em out before I get too wild here, as I cut them down from 27" on the plans. Who knows, maybe they'll just be big bottom bouncers!! :-)

We use boards constantly on our Erie trip and can also have 2 lines per person here in Iowa, so with the boys along they can be helpful here too. Haven't turn into much problem on the Mn lakes, but I suppose there still may be times where getting out away from the boat would help??

Gettin' the fever !!!!!!!!!!
