Hello all FMer's. We conducted the largest organized search I have ever seen in my 14 years of working as a Police Officer. We had over 470 ATVs and close to 400 walkers that came to lend their help and prayers for finding Dru. The numbers are unbelievable that have shown up over the past few weeks to help and they deserve our help.

I have no information on the results of the search other than she still NEEDS to be found.

She Needs your prayers!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know you all know how to pray, sitting in that boat or on the bank of the river and you have about 30 minuets left in the fishing tournament and you need one more SUMO in your net... You cast back out and in the back of your mind you say, "God please let me get just one big one, one more is all I ask......". Been there done that?????? Ok so just pretend your Grand prize is for Dru to be found soon and safe and we only have 30 more minuets to find her...

This is the largest most visited fishing site on the net.. So Lets do this..........Pass it on......... and see if we can over load this server and the one up above, with prayers for Dru and her family.

I thank you with all my heart.

The power of prayer is impossible to ignore!

Rusty

The biggest goal is to keep her in the media's eye until she is found.....

Don't let them forget she is still missing!!!!!!!!!! As with all headlines they will slowly faid into the background, we can not let this happen for her sake.

Wiskers, Its very sad isn't it but the turn out is more then anyone can ever imagine, Its great to see so many people care. I grew up in the Fisher area and know it very well. When I have been down in the woods bow hunting I look very close for something that shouldn't be there. I know that I'm looking in spots the no one has been in, some of these spot you can get to by driving a car others a truck but I'm checking. God speed to her return.

I spent all day on a four wheeler yesterday and I have to admit, it's the first time I've spent the day outdoors, riding a four wheeler and did NOT enjoy my time whatsoever. I booked that [email protected]@@ard in to our jail, and I still have no idea how I controlled my emotion. Let's find Dru.

I and 3 firemen from Thief River Falls brought down 4 atvs to Crookston on the 3rd. It was very moving to see all the goal oriented people working hard for one comin goal. It was well organized and I was very proud to be a part of it. My prayers go out to the family and the Law enforcement agencies working endless hours to bring this nightmare to a end. Mark B

I have a hard time in thinking of anything else. Missing and/or exploited children and or abducted woman always gets under my skin.

There is a terror and fury there that really hits a nerve for parents I guess? They are wise to keep this guy in special protective custody. At least until Dru is found, then I have my own ideas of what may be best for his tortured soul.

I prey often Dru will be found soon. I prey for the best possible outcome.

The hope and spirit of all the rescue crews is drawn from the best we as a people can offer. The selfless spirit of caring is easily seen in their faces and eyes. They are all to be highly commended.

Finding Dru will happen!

Powerstroke

For those who haven't heard, some of the info released today about the disappearance is that her blood is a match in Rodriguez's car, his knife, and they found one of her shoes along the Red River near Crookston.

ANybody fishing the Red should try to keep an eye out for anything. I know you already are, but I never know what they publicize up there.

Remember Dru

Welcome to the site @eg_gophers2124 I have never even seen the lake but these screen shots might help. Navionics Judging by the Lake Finder report, it’s a super clear lake; 17-20 foot clarity but with plenty of weeds. A couple shots of the weed report. Starting from scratch, I would head to the southwest area.  The southern basin has better looking structure too. You might do well simply working edges of the emergent weeds with spinnerbaits in low light and weedless frogs or spoons up in the weeds when it gets to be mid day.  Crawler under a slip bobber on the weed edges could do well also. It’s purely guessing on my part.  Hopefully someone with experience on the lake will chime in. Good luck!

Bring your spinning rod and fish for walleyes or white bass at the confluence. Wherever the river is pounding the shoreline fish the current breaks for big flatties. Heavy fiberglass rod with a sturdy baitcaster and 50 lb power pro line will be effective. Fish the head of snags for channels. Setup just like a Lindy rig for them with 1 oz to 5 oz no roll sinker and a big live bait like a 7" bullhead or even larger sucker for flatties. Use cut strips of bait off a large sucker or something similar. Frogs can be good too. Have fun.

Yes it is open. It is $7.00 this year. It is a nice access and I use it every time instead of one of the public accesses. It is on Hwy 24 & county rd 39. It is a little old lady that owns it and collects the money. There is a bucket and notepad to write your plate number on if she isn't home.

We have rented a cabin on Sylvan Lake between Pillager and Brainerd for the family this weekend. My 13 year old really would like to find some bass and pike. I have never fished the lake and don't fish for bass or pike often, does anyone have a fishing report and tips of what depth/lures to use? We do have a boat to get around the lake.  TIA

Lake is connected to two others with zebra mussels The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has confirmed a report of a zebra mussel in East Loon Lake in Otter Tail County. East Loon Lake is between and connected to East Spirit Lake and Sybil Lake, both of which were confirmed as having zebra mussels in 2016.  A lake user contacted the DNR after finding a single adult zebra mussel in East Loon Lake, which DNR specialists confirmed through photos and the specimen itself. No additional zebra mussels were found during a follow-up survey. “It’s helpful that an alert individual contacted us when they suspected they’d found a zebra mussel,” DNR assistant invasive species specialist Mark Ranweiler said. “Because they kept the zebra mussel, we were able to confirm the species identification.” Whether or not a lake is listed as infested, Minnesota law requires boaters and anglers to: Clean watercraft and trailers of aquatic plants and prohibited invasive species, Drain all water by removing drain plugs and keeping them out during transport, and Dispose of unwanted bait in the trash. Some invasive species are small and difficult to see at the access. To remove or kill them, take one or more of the following precautions before moving to another waterbody: Spray with high-pressure water. Rinse with very hot water (120 degrees for at least two minutes or 140 degrees for at least 10 seconds). Dry for at least five days. Zebra mussels can compete with native species for food and habitat, cut the feet of swimmers, reduce the performance of boat motors, and cause expensive damage to water intake pipes. People should contact an area DNR aquatic invasive species specialist if they think they have found zebra mussels or any other invasive species. More information is available at mndnr.gov/ais. ....is a City Park.  Land of Memories  with a lot of Minnesota and Blue Earth River shore access and I believe you can access the confluence of the rivers there as well.   Another attraction not really connected to fishing is Minneopa State Park with the falls on one side of the road and drive through buffalo herd area on the other.  Parks require a car window sticker for entrance.   Good Luck

I like them when it's dead calm they seem to work great then. When it gets a little ripple on top not as effective but still learning with them. Thanks for the report jigginjim
