Best Presentations from Shore

Recommended Posts

Hello- Just a quick question for the river experts. What are some of the best options this spring below the dams from shore? Jigs? Drop rigs? Plain hook and Livebait? Any help or feedback would be great. What dams are genrally the best near the FM area? Thanks guys

I'll get you started, but Ed will give you better and more advice than I can.
I like jigs and slip rigs below the dams for about the next month or so for walleyes. The smaller the jig the better- even as small as 1/32 oz. works well as they help avoid snags. On slip rigs I use both straight hooks and floating rigs. Some days one out-produces the other. I usually go with large fathead minnows or medium-small suckers during the spring run.
Good luck,
Scoot
