The rivers are starting to freeze inward from the shore in the region so the boats are being stored for winter, bummer Eh.

If your developing a case of ice fever, as I am, lets all try to hold off the river exploration for a long while yet, the ice is NOT SAFE.

River ice is notorious for unpredictability of depth and strength due to currents and variations of water levels that continuously weaken the ice pack. Extreme caution is needed at all times near a river developing ice. I encourage people with children to discuss this danger with them, especially if you live close to rivers and streams.

Very few rivers if any in the region are remotely close to being safe for ice angling at this time, stay off them and encourage others to do the same please.

Thank you
