Fished the WRD yesterday and last night with a limited amount of success.

Water levels were still very high with lots of reeds and debris in the water & this made jigging and casting cranks very tough.

There are lots of fish in the area and food too, easy to net minnows and shiners near the dam. Soon as the water settles a bit it should be very good!

I caught pike, big crappie, walleye, tons of carp and buffalo even with the messy conditions.

Should be very good in a week if they continue the present slowing of the releases on the Dam.

I will report back as I know more.

Have good memories of the White Rock dam area. I grew up in Graceville and caught a similar variety back in 1969 before fishing opener, while just searching for some fishable water. That was another year when there was lots of spring runoff and flooding. After finding walleyes there before season, I returned with my Dad and a few close friends and caught lots of walleyes for the first 2 weeks of the season.
