Red River Report:

Spring may just find it's way here yet?

The Red is on the rise at a safe slow rate. Ice is crystallizing and no ice traffic is advised at all! Show some patience, hard to do though.

If the weather warms we should see a open river flowing with ice by the end on next week in the headwaters region, maybe? Not safe to boat I would say but possibly some off current shore areas to fish and slow moving backwaters.

Any bite that will occur will be a slow jig and minnow bite as past years have shown me.

Be cautious near the river it will be hazardous and fast flowing. Be careful out there folks! Mud on frozen ground is treacherous!

Spring is near, keep the faith!
