is anyone still fishing on maple or sara?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone still been catching any fish on these lakes or has the increased boat traffic the past few weeks shut things off? If you are catching anything, what has been working for you?

Well you almost got that one right on the head... with the warm summer like temps finely many boaters are out playing on the lakes much more now and that will send the fish to odd locations. However weekdays are better odds than weekends.

Eyes should be going a bit deeper to stay in that temp range for feeding. Maple, well not much deep water there to search for.. best bet is to go in search of them with your electronics. Marcum them and they will bite..

Sarah seems to be the better of the three so far lately. Union should be ok also if you can find the schools, it has more depth to play with.

Remember, with the warm water temps now, Big Walleyes can not handle long fights or timely photo opps... Be kind and keep them in the water as much as you can.. if you get a long fight on a big one you might as well take it home, chances are it will die within a day or two any how. Food for thought.
