Maple lake ice conditions

Just wondering what the bite has been to this point if any and what the ice conditions are really would like some feed back may try it on sunday

i take it knowone has a clue after 6 days of the first post and not one hit thats a lot of help anyone know who or what resort i can call and get the information

I believe there's a bait shop in Crookston that usually knows the ice conditions on Maple. Couldn't give you the name, but they often give reports in the Grand Forks Herald outdoors section.

I would guess the bait shop you are thinking of is Ceason's Bait. They should have the info you are looking for.

On the river Saturday, it was 10.5 inches where I was. Going down tomorrow afternoon, I'll post changes.

going to call ceason's on friday just was hoping someone knows off hand but by calling friday i think i will get the most up dated information and then will let everyone know what i found out. and thanks for the river information never fished the river in town but am going to have to try

I just talked to the guy at ceason's about three bells he told me that the ice is 12 inches and fishing seems to be good for walleye, pike and crappie but i just wonder what the rain we have gotten and the warm weather the last few days has done to the ice not sure if i want to dreve my truck on the ice on sunday maybe just have to watch the vikings play and also how is the fishing going by the culvert going for the crappie?
