Did you connect with a fish smoker?

Thanks Hemlock.

Not much goin on right now as we watch
the ice melt on the river.

Did anyone fish or catch fish in the
Mill Pond at St Hilaire this winter????
It would be safe to talk about it now.

Old Guide, thanks for clearing that up....

Does everyone have their boat dusted off? It won't be too much longer before we're out there.

Decoy,

I have to give you some credit....I think. Anyone who punches holes, repeatedly in stinky water is a die hard...I think. Suprised about your LOW report. I had buddies fishing over Pine and they said they did great.

We were at Pine for Saturday 3pm to dark
bite.. lots of little fish and 5 keepers.
We were in 24 feet deep water. Sucked getting
over Pine.

To Jakes Whiskey flats (finally I know what
that spot is called) Sunday. 30 feet deep
fished till noon. lots of dinks and 7 keepers
before we quit at noon. I fished for an hour
in jeans and a tee shirt. Sucked getting
on and off at springsteel too.

Done for the winter...

Curt,

If I were to head up to LOW Thursday for a day trip, would you call me crazy? We were going to try and get out one more time, and maybe hit URL up for night bite. Any thoughts?

GEEEEEEEzzzzz,

I was fishing. No crappies. A couple of released walleye's.

I have tried the Mill pond 3 times this year.

December: Saw a bunch of little fish being caught. Rock bass, northern spearing. one 4" crappie, etc.

Feb. The water smelled of sewer, even made tackle, line stink. Didn't graph one fish.

March, 2 weeks ago,
Sewer was running in. I drilled a few holes, the water stunk.... Like a backed up toilet. I tried to graph fish.... Nothing
I think the entrance needs to be cleared/ dredged/ lowered.

My 2 cents.

PS. LOW yesturday was a dissapointment. Worst I've ever had. one small walleye.. Moved three times. What up old guide?

Thanks Old Guide. I think I've ruled out LOW till open water. Still thinking about URL this weekend though. That sounds a lot more do-able. Anyone heard otherwise?
