Big Sandy Lake

Recommended Posts

Has anyone been having any success catching Walleyes or Crappies on Big Sandy recently? I've noticed quite a few boats around the Crappie Crib, but haven't been able to get out and try it myself. Any updates you folks could provide would be appreciated.

Sandy is unique in the respect of what depth the fish prefer in open water.

The report said Crappie fishing was good in 5-10 feet of water.

Bell Horn Bay area would be my first choice. smile.gif

We have a place on Sandy in Websters bay but I've never fished in Bell Horn. Were would be a good spot right now to fish for crappies?

The obvious one is from the mouth of the river in Bell Horn and the adjacent near by area, but that gets fished pretty hard.

If anyone still has a floating dock out, I'd give those a shot, and any deep dock ends, or areas with pockets and inside turns.
