Septic Tanks Freezing up

Recommended Posts

The main issue is the sewer pipe from where it comes out of the house to where it enters the tank.

If you didn't run any water when we had the real brisk cold snaps then I imagine your system will be fine.

I know that is off topic, but a lot of septic tanks have frozen on Big Sandy due to the lack of snow. We have not been up since early Feb. Has anyone heard about Minnewawa cabin?

I install septics in the southern metro, and we've had to "thaw out" quite a few this winter due to lack of early snow and cold temps. We find the problems from the tanks to the mound or whatever system it is. I guess it all depends on whether you use water on not, and how deep the pipes are, etc.
