Hanging Kettle

How is the crappie/pike bite on hanginf kettle. Any info would be appreciated.

Its been pretty good. The deeper holes are putting put Crappies and the cabbage bed to the left of the access is giving up decent Bluegills.

jjr...are you talking about hanging kettle? yes i suppose you are but just to check...my brothers were out there today and drove out on the ice...there were quite a few trucks out there. so you should be fine!

Yes, the Bluegills are very nice,fish the cabbage beds in 12-15 feet.

How much ice is there on Hanging Kettle? I will be up there by myself tomorrow, guess I am the only one to have a kitchen pass among my buddies. Black truck, Black portable , come by and say hello!

Tried Hanging Kettle for the first time tonight, we got out about 4 and fished until dark and caught some gills and a few crappies. It seems like it would be really fun from noon until 4 for sure, I'm heading back to Bemidji tomorrow and wanted to know if it'd be worth staying until the afternoon and try it out in the morning? By the way, the ice is thick and trucks were driving on it tonight, including mine. As for the black truck and portable. Maybe I'll swing by otherwise I'll be bucket fishing with a green explorer.
