Mantrap Lake - All channels navigable?

I am considering renting a cabin at Mantrap Lodge on Mantrap Lake and I noticed that the channels on the lake are very shallow. Are the channels normally navigable? Is the water lower than normal at Mantrap? (similar to many area lakes) If the water is lower, what effect has it had on navigating the lake?

Also, does anyone have any information on Mantrap lodge?

last fall I never had any problems. there was alot of water in the channel

You will have absolutely NO PROBLEMS navigating any of the channels on Big Mantrap. You could have a fiberglass boat with a big outboard or an I/O and still have no problems. BTW, say hello to Mike and Diane at Mantrap Lodge - - - - They are GREAT Hosts and I can assure you that they will show you a great time! I stayed there for about 20 years each summer until last fall when I bought my own place.

Going through Little Sand to Ida to Big Sand is pretty shallow. I'd say you need a 17' boat or smaller.
