Itasca State Park

We will be going up at the end of July and was wandering about the coons. I heard they can be a problem around your campsite when they come out. I was up there back in 1980 and recall racoons being around the camp but they didn't seem to be a problem. Has it gotten to be more of a problem over the years? Also generally speaking how are the bugs and the fishing up there at the end of July?

I really wouldn't worry about a Racoon...The worst they may do is get into a cooler. Just be sure to put it somewhere where they can't get at it.
