Does anyone have any information about fishing this lake for walleyes or panfish

This lake is long and thin in a "L" shape. The point at the angle is a good spot for walleyes. Steep drop off. Have had some luck there in the past. Regarding panfish, you could try the end of the lake (away from Hwy 7). This bay is a consistant 15-20 ft deep and does hold some pannies.

Good Luck!

Almost forgot...This lake is well known for its silver pike. DNR reports a few every year that they gill net. We have pulled one out of IDA.

I would try right where the lake makes it's turn, first turn coming from Ida.
Right at that point the bottom comes quite a ways up. ON the IDa side of it is a deep(40+ feet)hole.

Evening into dark work that deep water, "walking" your presentation up and along the break!

Keep the rods bendin'!!!

Try fishing the big point on the south side of the lake just West of the public landing. There is a long shallow finger that extends from the point. It is about 5-6 feet. Come out from the finger and try fishing in about 20-25 feet, I have picked up a few nice eyes there. As far as panfish go there are not very many crappies in the lake, but if you can find them they are usually good size. Try the reeds at the East end of the lake for sunnies.
