Big Balsaam Camp Big balsam Lake...Lunker!!??

Hey Lunker!
Heading up to Davis's resort on Big Balsam again this year and looking for some current info on what to try. My kids are very excited abaout trying for some panfish. I am pretty psyched about some Bass/Pike and some walleyes maybe.
Anyone have any ideas or patterns for the area? Last year I got some great advice and really looked smart in front of the group by knowing what was going on...FM forums BABY! It is all about having fun fishing!

Last year you guys were awesome in helping. I fish areas around Motley and Annandale and can reciprocate information!

dvf87, i can't tell you much about big balsam first hand, though i was pleased a couple of years ago to see floyd cruising around in walmart. i used to deliver gas to his resort some years back...lets see... 18-19 years ago now??!! sheesh!
he still looked the same. nice guy.
if you are interested in a guide, i know a couple in the area that could probably hook you up.

This was in the Grand Rapids weekly fishing report.The weedlines of Balsam Lake started giving up a few bigger northern pike.

i was just up at the big balsom resort on the 13th-16th. lots of smaller northerns and some bigger. of corse lots of panfish. there was a 28"walleye in the gut pale.........sad.......that fish could not have tasted any good. its a fun time up there all the time. good luck.
