I could use a little Bowstring advice also. We are fishing it on opener this year my friends do it every year but don't get much time in on the water. I would like to catch some fish not real fussy either just can't justify going fishing on opener and not catching any. Thanks

Ive never fished Bowstring on opener but usualy try to get there once or twice a year. but here goes.
There is several humps, bars and points on the north side of the lake that I have had the most consistant action on for walleye and perch, but that may be to deep for opener you might want to try drifting the fast breaking mixed bottom area on the east side of the lake north of Duck Camp Point. I have had great action there but often had to take off several small pike for every walleye. Slip bobber's on the bolders in front of Duck camp Point in the evening can be good for crappie as well as walleye. Cow bay can have a good crappie bite and some wallyee throen in as well. Try a bobber near the reeds here.
