Snow-out

Well the lake is taking it's lumps with this weather. I see ATV/SxS tracks but all of the tracks have frozen slush in them. There is just enough snow for sleds to go around, but mine was running hot last night as I searched for any loose snow. It's getting harder and harder to find. Riding in the woods is questionable. There's enough snow generally, but you are going to be scraping rocks and tree roots.

 

We need the Ghostbusters to cross the streams, reverse the flow, total protonic reversal....to get some cold and snow up here again. It feels like late March up here.

Said the same thing on Wednesday at home.  Decided to take the SxS to th local bar and grill for dinner and just to get out.

 

Gravel driveway to the shed was sloppy so I drove off it into grass and sank in!  Made ruts in the soft black dirt for a good 20 yards.  Sheesh….

The other one.  The Canteen.  For a little hole in the wall we tend to go there more but they’re both decent.

The Boom is a drinkin’ bar.  Maybe get a pizza there and the bloody marys could pass for a meal but otherwise order a beer and talk smack with the locals - iffen ya dare.

The Fort is GOOD.  At least the last time we were there.  We used to go more often but it seemed to start going downhill a little.  Last time we were there they had upped their game quite a bit.

 

Tryna get in on Prime Rib day requires a commitment to that plan.

 

Plenty of ditch ridin’ to and from but not far from the Sebie Lake trail complex.  Locally it’s not the worst way to blow a couple hours.

How thick is the snow on the lake? Is there any left?

There's not much snow left from what I can see on our Ring cam.  This is facing North across Niles Bay.  Also, the temp is 44 at this moment so what snow might be left is going fast.
