Looking for a good redhorse spot close to home.

Hi guys! Just moved too Sauk rapids last August from lanesboro MN. Currently about a mile from the Mississippi where bridge of hope crosses. The next bridge south of sartells bridge. I just wanted some pointers for redhorse action on the Mississippi or Sauk river etc. Closer to home. It's rugged out there boulders rocks etc. I'm used to bottom rigging nightcrawler in finer rocks/sand on the root river in lanesboro and catching near record and probably even a few record golden redhorse. And a wide variety of species shuvelnose sturgeon, mooneyes, saugers, carp etc. Was just looking to find a comparable spot up here for late spring and summer 2024. I'm willing to drive a half hour out of my way (as opposed to 3 1/2 hours to my old sweet spot. I've tapped into the smallmouth up here no problem and have an awesome time catching them no problem. And see redhorse moving along mid river in guaranteed snag city. So haven't bothered. Any guidance or pointers will help. Thanks guy's.

Lunalicks35. Nice handle! 🙂

Welcome to the forum.  Like most fishing spots folks are tight lipped.  Let us know if you find any good spots although it's going to turn cold soon. Not sure if you can ice fish for them?  I've caught them upnorth but never really fished for them, do you eat them?
