I agree with Jason, a great time to be on North Star. North Star is a well balanced fishery. Numbers and quality size in most species. Sometimes a little tough on the walleye guys but the size can be phenomenal.

The fishing on North Star is pretty decent that time of the year. The Crappiesare usualy in the shorelines and the Walleyes are at the emergent weeds with the Gators. The Bass can also be going pretty well that time of the year. Its more of a mixed bag of fish on that lake you can catch alittle bit of everything.
Good Luck
Jason

Your best bet for sunnies and gills will probably be the shallower weedlines on the North end of the lake. There should be enough action to keep the kids smiling.
Good Luck !

For sunfish action go through the channel into Little North Star. The size isn't great but if you pick through them you can muster enough for a meal and the bite normally is pretty good which wil keep the kids going. Anywhere next to the weeds and you should get some fish. Good luck!!!
