I heard that a cabin burned in the Partridge River (between Head-o-Lake and Black Bay). Any info on the cause? No injuries from what I heard.

Just got back up here last night and talked to my neighbor today. He said a small cabin burnt down a few days ago. If you heading towards Wakemup Bay from my place, the cabin was two small little bays on the right side. He said it was a small older cabin, someone was staying there and wasn't home at the time. Said, it's a gonner.

I’ve gotten pictures from two different people. I doubt the second one is accurate since it is definitely not a smaller cabin.

Maybe this picture is from a different view, but the trees are all different - mostly birch vs mostly pine. It's also a 2-story cabin....

I'm going to take a spin on the sled this weekend and check it out.

I drove by the spot I thought it was on the snowmobile and couldn't find it.

I know the owner.  In fact we rode snowmobiles together a couple days after the fire.  He lost most of his belongings.  Sounds like it was electrical.
