Augusta/Clearwater access?

Hello everyone! Need some info on Augusta lake and Clearwater lake. We're looking to rent a cabin from Airbnb that's on Augusta Lake, and there's no ramp on that lake. But according to MN DNR, there's a ramp on Clearwater Lake. See map.

 

I have a older 1998 Lund Pro 1775 (17 feet) with 2 stroke 115 HP motor, can that boat go through that channel from Clearwater to Augusta?

 

Don't know anything about both Augusta / Clearwater lakes. We're from southern MN (Mankato area)

 

Where can we go on Augusta for some panfish? Would like to stay close to the cabin on Augusta since I'm not familiar with both lakes

I haven’t launched there in a long, long time but yes, you should be able to get through there with your boat.  It’s been a pretty common practice.

 

No idea where to fish on Augusta though.  Clearwater is usually good enough.  Enjoy your stay!
